C.Myron Flippin is a graduate of Ponca City, Oklahoma, High School, where he was an All-State and All-American musician. He attended Kansas State University with a major in Music Education and European History. Flippin pursued a career in management from 1972 to 1987, where he was awarded an MBA certificate by the Wickes Corporation. His successful management career is noted with numerous awards and recognitions, including the Wickes Corporation Rookie Manager of the Year, fiscal 1977-1978.

Flippin returned to music and earned a Master of Music degree in 'cello and vocal performance, (1990) and a Doctor of Musical Arts (ABD) in orchestral conducting in 1994, both at the University of Oklahoma. He studied, performed, and conducted in Austria in 1989 and 1992. There he performed with the Melkus Ensemble at Schloss Eggenberg,the Internationale Symphonie Feste in Erl, and in master classes with Christopher Bunting and Phyllis Young in Graz. His graduate studies included 'cello with Professor Marjorie Cornelius and voice with Sean Daniel. He is currently studying voice in the private studio of W.Stephen Smith, professor of voice at The Juilliard School in New York City. He studied privately with internationally known conductor Akira Endo from 1990-1992. Other important conducting instructors were Bill Jones, Robert Culver,and William Wakefield.

Flippin has performed in Branson with the White River Trio at various theaters and venues. He has performed back-up musician duties for such notables as The Lettermen, Glenn Campbell, Vince Gill, Sandi Patti, and many others. His most notable performances to date are two appearances at Carnegie Hall in New York City; first with the North Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra in April of 2008 and most recently in June, 2010, as guest conductor for the New England Symphonic Ensemble in a performance of Mozart's Mass in C, "Coronation", K317, with a 155 voice choir and notable soloists.

Flippin is formerly the Principal Conductor of the North Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestras. When the parent symphony suspended operation in 2008, Flippin was appointed Music Director of the Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestras, Inc. and has served in that capacity to the present. He is a master class teacher and does clinics, guest conducting and vocal solo appearances,in the USA and Europe. He was formerly Assistant Conductor, Principal Cellist of the Opera in the Ozarks, 1996-2000. He was at the podium of the Oklahoma Community Orchestra from 1991-1994, and guided the orchestra to a higher level of repertoire achievements during that tenure. He has been a church choir director at both Baptist and Methodist churches from 1986-1993. From June, 2006 until June, 2010, Flippin was the Music Director of the Ozarks Chorale, a quality community choir in northwest Arkansas. He also served as the music director of the newly formed charter school, Northwest Academy of Fine Arts, Rogers, AR, from 2006-2008.

Flippin maintains a 'cello/bass/vocal studio in northwest Arkansas, and takes great pride in being a mentor to student and professional musicians of all ages. He has resided in the White River valley near Eureka Springs, Ar since 1996.

Fred Mayer received a BA in music composition from the University of California at San Diego and a M.M. in conducting, M.M.E., and Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at U.S.M., Dr. Mayer served as Assistant Director of the U.S.M. Symphony Orchestra and Director of the U.S.M. Chamber Orchestra. As Music Director of the Huntsville Youth Orchestra, Dr. Mayer earned an "Adventuresome Programming of Contemporary Music" award which was presented by the American Symphony Orchestra League in June 1989.

Dr. Mayer has worked frequently with ballet and modern dance companies throughout the U.S. He was a founding member and composer with "The Dance Unit" in Atlanta and received acclaim as a composer with the dance companies at the University of North Texas, University of California at San Diego, United States International University (San Diego), and the University of Southern Mississippi. He also composed music and performed for "The Three's Company", and Laura Crisone in San Francisco. After arriving in Alabama Dr. Mayer collaborated with Thor Sutowski and the Alabama, School of the School of Fine Arts ballet company on the "FINE music, FINE dance " tour in 1989 and with the Huntsville Civic Ballet's world premiere of the science fiction ballet, "The Soul Painter and the Shapeshifter", in 1991. In Huntsville, Dr. Mayer served on the music faculty of Oakwood College and the Academy for Academics and Arts. While there he guest conducted the Alabama Youth Orchestra (Birmingham) and the Nashville Youth Orchestra. During the ten years when he lived in Alaska, he taught music in remote communities in Southeast Alaska and in Juneau where he formed the Juneau Youth Symphony and toured Alaska with the Juneau High School Orchestra. Dr. Mayer served on the faculty of Spartanburg (South Carolina) County School District No.7 as string instructor and conductor of the Spartanburg High School Symphony Orchestra. While in Cleveland Height, OH he was music director for the Cleveland Heights High School Symphony, director of the Cleveland Music School Settlement Summer Orchestra and Fine Arts Camp, and guest conductor of the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. His doctoral research was nominated for “Dissertation of the Year” in the field of music education. The research validated an objective method for determining level of difficulty in string orchestra music. Large portions of the research were excerpted and published by MENC as The String Orchestra Super List where it has become a standard text in training school orchestra directors.After his retirement from Cleveland Heights HS, he relocated to southwest Florida from 2004-2006. Since 2006 Dr. Mayer has resided in Carroll County, Arkansas, where he performs frequently, teaches home school and community ensembles, gives private lessons and serves on the conducting staff of the Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestras. In addition to his musical endeavors, he operates a small scale commercial organic farm and serves on board of directors of Carroll County Fresh!, a sustainable agriculture initiative in Carroll County.
